What we are looking for:

  • A completed bachelor degree in electrical engineering or industrial automation
  • A couple of years relevant working experience
  • Experience in programming and commissioning controlling machines and logistics systems
  • Experience with Siemens S7 or Allen Bradley
  • Knowledge of safety systems, frequency controllers, servo drives and bus systems (Profibus and Profinet)
  • Enthusiasm to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong analytic skills and a flexible mentality and customer-oriented focus
  • Work result-oriented and a strong perseverance
  • Knowledge of the Dutch and English language, both orally and in writing. German language is a plus

About your role as a Team Lead Controls Engineer

As a Team lead controls engineer you are responsible for the software and controls part of the systems. To create the best system solutions you are working together with a project team that exists of a project manager, hardware engineer, project engineer and software engineer robotics. With this team you create specifications for the system during the definition phase of the project. According the documentation you are creating and testing the software in Raamsdonksveer.  After the system is installed on site you will commission the system together with the lead installation engineer all around the world. You are focused on the latest developments in the current market and encourage the controls team to implement these innovations.

Your responsibilities as a Team Lead Controls Engineer

  • Managing the team to enable timely developing the software and the technical controls part of the project;
  • Support the sales department with the controls concepts and quotations during the sales phase;
  • Creating a functional and technical specification together with a multidisciplinary project engineering team during the definition phase of the project;
  • Creating the software project programming preferable in TIA Portal;
  • Creating the electrical hardware concept together with the hardware engineer;
  • Concept reviewing together with multidisciplinary project team;
  • Testing and simulating the systems at our factory;
  • Commissioning the machines at the customer worldwide;
  • Creating manual documentation and give an operator training at the customer;
  • Managing the software and details engineering internal and external;
  • Helping customers in case of break down together with the service department.
