About your role as a Measurement Technician

In this role, you are responsible for executing and developing measurement strategies for complex precision parts and components. You work with a Zeiss Contura CMM and use Calypso to create, optimize, and further professionalize measurement programs. You are not only executing tasks, but also play a key role in determining the right measurement approach. You switch between different measuring methods: from automated CMM measurements to manual measurements using tools such as micrometers, height gauges, and other precision instruments. You analyze measurement results, recognize trends and deviations, and translate these into concrete actions for production and engineering. In doing so, you directly contribute to product quality and process control. Additionally, you continuously work on improving measurement methods, increasing measurement reliability, and further structuring the measurement process. You work closely with colleagues in a production environment where quality and precision are central, and where your expertise truly makes a difference.

Your responsibilities as a Measurement Technician

  • Creating, programming, and optimizing CMM measurement programs (Zeiss / Calypso)
  • Performing measurements using both CMM and various manual measuring tools
  • Determining measurement strategies for complex products and tolerances
  • Interpreting technical drawings and GD&T
  • Performing in-process, final, and incoming inspections
  • Analyzing measurement data and identifying trends and deviations
  • Coordinating with production and engineering on quality improvements
  • Managing and monitoring measuring equipment (use and calibration)
  • Initiating and implementing improvements in measurement processes
  • Preparing substantiated measurement reports for customers when products do not meet specifications
  • Collaborating with colleagues in a production environment focused on quality and precision
