As a Project Engineer, you are the overall multidisciplinary technical lead responsible for the entire project from kick-off to delivery at the customer site. You are part of the project team, make decisions, and coordinate the detail engineering tasks within the project budget, timeline, and quality standards. You are capable of creating a project plan and are technically accountable for achieving the project objectives in the field, with a focus on mechanical engineering.

What we are looking for:

  • A completed bachelor’s degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics;
  • You are creative and capable of conceptual thinking, have a pragmatic mindset, and are skilled in planning and organizing. Additionally, you have strong communication and analytical skills;
  • Willingness to travel, including outside regular working hours and during weekends;
  • Good command of the full MS Office package;
  • Proficiency in both Dutch and English;
  • Experience with 3D applications such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD is a plus.

About your role as a Project Engineer

As a Project Engineer, you are the overall multidisciplinary technical lead responsible for the entire project from kick-off to delivery at the customer site. You are part of the project team, make decisions, and coordinate the detail engineering tasks within the project budget, timeline, and quality standards. You are capable of creating a project plan and are technically accountable for achieving the project objectives in the field, with a focus on mechanical engineering.

Your responsibilities as a Project Engineer

  • You design the technical specification and support the creation of the functional specification, with a full understanding of the customer's requirements;
  • You develop an engineering work breakdown structure for the project, including planning and cost forecasting;
  • You create and review drawings and calculations related to the mechanical specification during all phases of the project; you maintain accurate project documentation to provide insight into the project status, identify risks in a timely manner, and take action to manage those risks;
  • You provide technical direction and clarity where needed and ensure the requested quality of output is delivered;
  • You oversee the final inspection after the in-house testing phase, as well as during the installation and commissioning phases at the customer site;
  • You are technically responsible for the entire project, from the definition phase to final delivery at the customer;
  • You work closely with the project manager;
  • You support the procurement process from a technical perspective;
  • You support the service department with after-sales activities.
